THE POWER OF THE COLOR WALL OR THE ACCENT WALL
A color wall or accent wall highlights any decorative object that will be in the room. Enjoy it, to indulge yourself with a whimsical or unusual decoration, such as inspired cabinets of curiosity (see video). Whether in the kitchen, office, bathroom, living room or bedroom, the color wall is suitable for all rooms of the house.
WHAT TO CREATE A WALL OF COLOR?
The colored wall can be created with a simple blow of paint, a sheet of wallpaper. UK or whimsical, wallpaper today is a real decorative accessory that it would be a shame not to exploit. Another alternative to create an accent wall: the brick or natural stone facing panels that instantly create a conviviality without flaws.
CHOOSE THE GOOD WALL
Know that there are not really any constraints for the accent wall. This may be the first wall you see in a room or, on the contrary, a hidden wall that you would like to enhance. If you have an open kitchen, privilege a visual separation with a more vivid color.
The accent wall also reshapes the volumes and resizes the pieces. If you want to accentuate the depth of your room, highlight the wall facing the entrance. The same is possible on the ceiling, if it is high, prefer the dark colors, if it is low, rather the light colors.
TIP TO AVOID FAULT
If you admire the decorations presented in the decoration magazines, you rarely skip the step for his interior decoration for fear of lack of taste! In order not to have unpleasant surprises on the expected result, consider using the color cards proposed by the paint manufacturers: they allow to preserve the harmony of your interior decoration.
If your interior is rather decorated in neutral tones, favor a bright color. Finally, combining two colors together is not forbidden: a warm color (red, orange, yellow ...) can very well marry with a cold color (blue, green).
WHAT BUDGET TO CREATE A WALL OF COLOR?
The advantage of the accent wall is that it does not require heavy work. The budget will necessarily depend on the chosen material: the most economical is painting or wallpaper. The facing plates are, on the other hand, a little more expensive.
